The Korean Study Institute is the only 'Confucianism-devoted' museum and an academic institute. It was established to distribute Korea's excellent traditional cultures both nationally and internationally, activating the donations of materials for Korean studies. The museum selects and exhibits those materials on Korean studies which are highly valuable as cultural assets, donated by the private sector of individual families or Seowons and owned by the Advanced Center for Korean Studies.
