It is a temple established during the era of Queen Seondeok, 27th King of the Shilla Dynasty. It had been abolished for a long time until they built a new temple succeeding the former temple about 30 years ago. Currently, a nun monk is staying and keeping the Andong Icheon-dong Stone Buddha Statue, which was designated as Treasure No. 115. There are many legends related to this.
