Opened in 1995 at the entrance of Hahoe Village—designated Important Folklore Material No. 122—the Hahoe World Mask Museum is dedicated entirely to traditional masks. The museum features not only the iconic Hahoe masks used in the Hahoe Byeolsingut Mask Dance but also a wide array of traditional Korean masks from across the country. It also houses an extensive collection of masks from around the world, allowing visitors to compare global mask cultures with those of Korea. The 793㎡ exhibition space comprises the Korean Hall, Asian Hall, World Hall, and a Special Exhibition Hall.
