Nongam Jongtaek is the head house of Nongam Lee Hyeonbo, a renowned Joseon-era poet and local official who was celebrated for his writings on nature. In 1555, he was posthumously honored with the title Hyojeol in recognition of his filial piety and integrity. The house is located in Gasong-ri, Dosan-myeon, nestled on the slopes of Cheongnyangsan Mountain along the upper reaches of the Nakdonggang River. As its name—Gasong, meaning “village of beautiful pines”—suggests, it offers a lyrical, pastoral setting with both mountain and riverside views. Nearby sites include Dosan Seowon, the Advanced Center for Korean Studies, Ocheon Historic Site (Gunja Village), Toegye Jongtaek, and the birthplace of poet Lee Yuksa.
