A disciple of Toegye Yi Hwang, Kim Seongil studied alongside Seoae Ryu Seongryong. In addition to the head house, the site includes Unjanggak, a storage pavilion that preserves over 500 artifacts belonging to Kim and his descendants. Among these are 56 types of old documents comprising 261 items (designated Treasure No. 905) and original manuscripts and official records from King Seonjo’s reign (designated Treasure No. 906).
